Liberty Hospital is fully-accredited by the Joint Commission. The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits nearly 18,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. To earn and maintain The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™, an organization must undergo an on-site survey by a Joint Commission survey team at least every three years.
The Cancer Center at Liberty Hospital is fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons.
The American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation has certified Liberty Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program, making it the first program in the Northland to receive certification.
The Echocardiography Lab at Liberty Hospital is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography labs. The hospital is among a 1,000 labs in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico to be recognized for high quality and commitment to excellence for diagnostic testing.
Liberty Hospital’s Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
The Breast Center at Liberty Hospital is accredited by the American College of Radiology and certified by the Food and Drug Administration under the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
Liberty Hospital’s diabetes education program is a recognized program approved by the American Diabetes Association.

Liberty Hospital was recognized by Primaris, Missouri's Quality Improvement Organization, with a quality award for our medication reconciliation process and surgical care improvement projects.
Liberty Hospital's Heart and Vascular Center received the American College of Cardiology Foundation's NCDR Action Registry - GWTG Silver Performance Achievement Award. We were one of only 94 hospitals nationwide to receive this recognition. This award recognizes our commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that the hospital has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care.
Liberty Hospital was named as one of the best hospitals in the metropolitan area by U.S. News & World Report.
The Health Resource Library received the award for Excellence in Consumer Services from the Health Sciences Library Network of Kansas City.
For a third year, Sun Publications (owner of the Liberty Tribune, The Kearney Courier, The Smithville Herald, etc.) and its readers - voted Liberty Hospital as the gold medal winner in the "Best Hospital" category. The Liberty Clinic received the silver medal in the "Best Medical Clinic" category. |
