Heartsaver AED CPR / Adult & Pediatric |

This course teaches Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and the use of an AED for victims 1 year of age or older. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Will be practicing skills that will require working on your hands and knees, bending and standing. This class is taught by American Heart Association instructors following AHA guidelines. You will receive a course completion card with this class. A non-refundable fee covers class materials. Participants must be 12 years of age or older. CPR classes are held at least monthly. If no registration box appears below, the current class is full. Future dates include: 6/12/08 and 7/26/08. Registration opens 30 days prior to class date. |

Safe Sitter |
|
This course is a medically accurate child care course developed especially for 11 to 13-year olds. Safe Sitter teaches skills needed to safely care for children 6 months through school age. Class content includes babysitting as a business, child development, injury management, behavior management, safety for the sitter, and cpr techniques. This is a 2-day course and the non-refundable fee covers class material. Classes will be June 20 & 21, June 30 & July 1, July 17 & 18, and July 28 & 29. CPR Instructor Course - AHA BLS-I |

The 2-day American Heart Association course is designed for individuals interested in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to teach Basic Life Support (BLS) Courses. It will be offered on July 25, 2008 from 8 am to 4 pm and July 26th from 8 am to 1 pm. The course will include information of what to teach and how to teach, and includes observation/participation in an actual Heartsaver AED class. The AHA Core Instructor pre-course requirements must be completed and a copy of certificate provided to the Education Department prior to July 18, 2008. A copy of current HCP BLS card is also needed. |
