Sunday, Jan. 1 - Monday Dec. 31 Lung Cancer Screening Liberty Hospital now offers a new screening to help with early detection of lung cancer in high-risk individuals. The new Lung Cancer Screening uses low-dose CT scanning to obtain a multiple-image picture of the entire chest. The scan is painless, noninvasive and takes just a few minutes. The hospital offers the screening Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., to accommodate as many patients as possible. While the lung screening is not covered by insurance, the fee is only $99. Walk-ins are accepted, or patients can schedule a scan by calling 816-792-7016.
