A stay at the Birthing Center at Liberty Hospital has been compared to enjoying a deluxe spa or five-star hotel. The new facility opened consists of 24 private rooms – 11 birthing rooms and 13 mother/baby care rooms, where mom and baby go after labor for the remainder of their stay.
Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows, with tranquil colors and wood floors and trim. Amenities include a multi-head shower, a lavatory with two vanity areas, a flat screen TV with DVD/VHS player, and an extra sleeping bed for your support person.
One unique feature of the Birthing Center is the spa room, which contains a whirlpool tub, soothing music selection and a variety of aromatherapy options. Many women have found this to be especially relaxing after labor to help soothe sore muscles.
Security is also a priority. The Birthing Center is locked at all times for both patient privacy and security. All visitors must be cleared by the mother and are required to sign in at the information desk before being allowed into the unit.
The Birthing Center also includes two C-section rooms within the unit, should an emergency arise. |
