Liberty Hospital
Neurodiagnostic Services Department
Patients with neurological concerns may be referred for testing in our Neurodiagnostic Services Department. This department provides up-to-date technology to assist in evaluation and diagnosis of disorders and diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.

The Department is staffed with board-registered and certified technologists with more than 50 years of combined experience. Services are provided Monday through Friday for inpatients and by appointment for outpatients.

Tests commonly performed by the Neurodiagnostic Services Department are:
  • electroencephalograms (EEGs)
  • electromyograms (EMGs)
  • evoked potential (EP) testing
  • intraoperative monitoring (IOM)

These tests are used to evaluate and diagnose neurological symptoms and conditions such as headaches; head injuries; strokes; seizure disorders; unexplained dizziness or vision problems; nerve injuries; back, neck and limb pain; carpal tunnel syndrome; and other neuropathies.

The Department’s activities are overseen by a medical director, a Liberty Hospital staff physician specializing in neurology.
