This treatment is offered for swallowing disorders, like dysphagia. The patient is seen on a daily basis by a speech pathologist who is VitalStim Certified. An initial swallow evaluation will be completed prior to beginning therapy.

Swallowing disorders may be due to:
• Parkinson disease
• Strokes
• Traumatic brain injuries
• Dementia
• Generalized weakness
