The Birthing Center at Liberty Hospital features a team of dedicated professionals, including OB physicians and registered nurses with specialized training in obstetrics, prenatal and neonatal care. From pregnancy through delivery and your home care visit, you and your baby will receive personal attention and excellent care. Your home care visit is FREE of charge to all families who deliver at Liberty Hospital. No other hospital in the Kansas City area offers this free service.
Our Birthing Center also includes a registered nurse certified in childbirth education, and a lactation consultant available to provide support for breastfeeding mothers. The lactation consultant is able to provide information on breastfeeding basics, individual consultations, and support throughout the hospital stay and beyond.
