Spot the signs of arthritis in kids
Adults aren't the only ones who deal with arthritis. Kids can also live with arthritis pain and discomfort. In fact, the American College of Rheumatology suggests that around 300,000 children in the U.S. have some type of juvenile arthritis. There's no test for the disorder, so signs and symptoms play an important role in diagnosing juvenile arthritis. As a parent, you can help. Talk to your child's doctor if you notice these symptoms.
It's important to remember that a child with arthritis can lead an active, healthy life. Treatment can help ease swelling, maintain joint movement and relieve pain.
