New specialists join Liberty Hospital clinics

LIBERTY, MO. (Sept. 2, 2020) – Liberty Hospital and clinics are adding new providers this fall to expand services in otolaryngology, orthopaedics and pulmonology.
The Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic
John Barclay, DO, now is accepting new patients at The Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic. Dr. Barclay is a graduate of Wartburg College, Waverly, IA, and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery at McLaren Macomb in Mount Clemens, MI. He joins Matthew E. Beuerlein, MD; Gregory J. Mulcahy, MD; and four audiologists in the clinic, which is located in the Doctors Building, Suite 104, at Liberty Hospital, 2521 Glenn Hendren Drive. To make an appointment, call 816-781-1001.
MU Orthopaedics
L. Nathan Gause, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in surgery of the foot and ankle. He specializes in comprehensive care of the lower extremities, including knee and leg pain. He has special interests in ankle and knee replacement, sports injuries, flat foot and bunion correction, arthroscopy and lower extremity post-traumatic reconstruction. He completed a foot and ankle fellowship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, TN, and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Cincinnati. Also joining MU Orthopaedics is Lia Grogan, PA-C, a certified physician assistant who specializes in joint replacement surgery, sports medicine and trauma. She received a master’s degree of science in physician assistant studies from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center and is a graduate of the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. The Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic
Ashley Ferraro, DO, will begin seeing patients Sept. 8. A native of Kansas City, Dr. Ferraro completed three fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - Shreveport (LSU Health Shreveport) and the University of Kansas Medical Center. She also completed her residency in the Department of Internal Medicine at University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Ferraro is a board-certified Diplomat in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care, bronchology and interventional pulmonology.
