LIBERTY, MO. (May 1, 2019) – Two board-certified cardiologists recently joined the team at Liberty Cardiovascular Specialists. Tapas "Joey" Ghose, M.D., FACC, FAHA, ABVM, and Calvin G. Madrigal, M.D., are now part of the group of cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons who provide comprehensive cardiac care for patients at Liberty Hospital.

Dr. Ghose is an interventional cardiologist specializing in peripheral vascular disease and vascular medicine services. Prior to joining Liberty Cardiovascular Specialists, he served as medical director of vascular medicine and co-director of the cardiac catheterization suite at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He has cared for heart patients in the Kansas City area since 2005.
Dr. Madrigal specializes in non-invasive cardiology, including echocardiology, nuclear medicine, preventive cardiology, cardiovascular stress testing and general cardiology. Prior to joining Liberty Cardiovascular Specialists, Dr. Madrigal completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He studied medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center and is a native of the Kansas City area.
