Healthy Beginnings: Prenatal & Neonatal Care Excellence

The Birthing Center at Liberty Hospital provides warm, personalized, whole-person care for mom and baby, alongside amenities that ensure your whole family is comfortable during your stay. Our state-of-the-art facility and team includes highly qualified, board-certified obstetric and neonatal physicians and nurses.

As your child’s birth approaches, we encourage you to do some homework – tour our birthing center, select a physician for your newborn, and schedule a consultation prior to birth so you can discuss important issues such as your birth plan, breastfeeding, and more.

Our Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) specializes in caring for newborns who require a higher level of skill and attention. The Neonatal Team at The Birthing Center includes Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on staff 24/7, who collaborate with a Children’s Mercy Neonatologist to provide the best possible care for your baby. We also offer a unique free boarding program that allows moms who are discharged before their babies to remain on the unit or on campus free of charge until baby is well enough to go home.
