Rehabilitation Therapy

Life is better in motion, so there's only one thing to do: Start moving. Our physical, occupational and speech therapists understand this and deliver rehabilitation therapy designed and paced precisely right for you and your specific needs. Our experts know what it takes for you to overcome the condition that interrupted your forward motion in life. We get you back on track to living the life you love.

No matter what condition requires rehabilitation therapy, we collaborate with you and your physicians and surgeons to serve as your partners in health throughout your recovery. We help you heal from sports injuries as well as surgery, stroke, prolonged illness, aging, cancer and neurological disorders. Living your best life means keeping your recovery process moving forward – and taking your recovery all the way home.

Why choose Liberty Hospital for rehabilitation therapy?

Comprehensive care and regional excellence are just two of the reasons. Our rehabilitation therapy team works hand in glove with many other specialties in the Liberty Hospital system, including Liberty Hospital Orthopaedics staffed by MU Healthcare physicians.

When it comes to rehabilitation therapy for orthopaedic conditions, sports injuries or surgeries like joint replacement, we bring you the level of care, treatment, research and clinical trials only available from an academic medical center. Because surgery is not the only option for many patients, our experts take a personalized view of your pain, mobility, lifestyle and preferences to create the treatment plan that is right for you.

Don’t let embarrassment keep you away

It’s inevitable, we believe, that as we age it becomes “normal” to leak a little when laughing, sneezing or coughing. Or that the sudden urge “to go” hits and we can’t get to a restroom fast enough. It’s just part of getting older – or so we thought. Learn more.

After following this program – which returns patients back to baseline – some are motivated to continue on to the next level, such as adult fitness training or sports performance classes.

Quality & Patient Satisfaction

Our patient satisfaction ratings consistently exceed national and local averages – and as the only Northland hospital to receive an "A" safety grade from The Leapfrog Group (Fall 2021), we are proud to be the highest-ranking hospital for safety in the Northland. We care deeply about delivering excellence in safety, outcomes and patient experience.
