The American Hospital Association (AHA) has recognized Liberty Hospital for 50 years of participation and leadership in the organization. AHA Regional Executive Liz Summy presented the award to Liberty Hospital President and CEO Raghu Adiga, MD, on May 8.
“The AHA is proud to recognize Liberty Hospital for 50 years of membership and for their continued commitment to serving their patients and communities,” Summy said. “For many decades, Liberty Hospital has been a cornerstone of care in the Missouri Northland and surrounding communities. We thank the hospital’s leaders and staff for their dedication to their mission of providing personalized care to meet the needs of the community.”
Now in its 50th year of advancing the health and well-being of the community, Liberty Hospital has more than 2,000 employees and 330 physicians who deliver compassionate, high-quality care. The hospital is licensed for 204 inpatient beds and has 16 affiliated clinics. It provides level 2 trauma, heart attack and stroke care in addition to many other services, such as neonatal care, oncology, and cardiothoracic and brain surgeries.
Dr. Adiga thanked the AHA for the recognition. “Liberty Hospital is poised to provide even more high-quality care in the Northland for years to come by joining The University of Kansas Health System.”
Liberty Hospital and The University of Kansas Health System signed definitive agreements May 1.
